NGCT 2019
NGCT Society and UPES Dehradun are committed to Quality Education and Research in India and abroad. Overwhelming success of previous editions of NGCT Conferences, NGCT Society and UPES announces 5th International Conference on Next Generation Computing Technologies, (NGCT’ 2019). Objectives of NGCT’2019 will focus on experimental, theoretical and application aspects of innovations in Computational Intelligence. This Conference aims to create a community of researchers, scholars and experts from academia and industry working on Computational Intelligence and its applications in Informatics, Imaging and Machine Vision, Language Technology, Smart Applications and E-commerce, Networking and High Performance Computing domain and share most recent and latest research findings. Authors across the globe are invited to submit their research proposal/papers which are not simultaneously under consideration with any other journal or conference.
About UPES
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was established in the year 2003 through UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand. With an ambitious vision and unique approach, UPES emerged as an innovative institution offering industry-focused specialized graduate, post graduate and doctoral programs in key areas such as Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Engineering, Information Technology, Design, Planning & Architecture, Public policy, Legal Studies and Management Studies. Founded by prominent educationalists and industry experts; UPES is committed to maintain high standards in providing quality education. The university endeavours to be recognized as “University with A Purpose” with a progressive vision of creating specialized professionals in the Core sectors that can contribute in the economic growth of the country. School of Business (SoB)

SoB combines all the facets of management and economics principles to provide graduate and post graduate programs that are focused on the vital domains of Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Analytics, Economics & International Business. SOB is a bouquet of 10 MBA programs and 12 BBA programs and MA (Energy Economics) programme. Most of the PG and UG programs at UPES are well established and have been receiving encouraging response from recruiters. Combining general management studies with sector specific inputs, these management programs empower participants to effect change in the core sectors powering India's economic growth. At present, more than 100 research scholars are pursuing Ph.D. in Management. SOB also offers executive MBA programs in Oil & Gas, Power, Infrastructure and Logistics & Supply Chain Management.

School of Engineering (SoE)

UPES School of Engineering offers B.Tech, MTech and PhD programs across a wide spectrum of specialization areas. These includes Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Systems, Geo-Science Engineering, Automotive Design Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Disaster Management, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, Nanotechnology, Fire Safety Engineering, Mining Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and several others. The curriculum of these programs include sector centric knowledge along with theories pertaining to the future of the core industries. The students are introduced to the real world and taken for industrial visits in order to improve their learning curve and acquaint them with the chosen sector. Through an interactive teaching methodology, SoE allows the student to explore, discover and understand various aspects of the respective core sectors.

School of Computer Science (SoCS)

SoCS develops and trains the students with Information Technology platform skills essential for the IT professionals. SoCS Offers 15 specialized B.Tech CSF programs in association with IBM India, 2 specialized B.Tech CSE programs in association with Xebia and M.Tech CSE program with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and BCA program. These programs are expected to add to the inclination of recruiters towards the students ready and aligned with skills required for the IT industry. Currently more than 90 research scholars are pursuing Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering.

School of Law (SoL)

The contribution of UPES Dehradun to legal education is a decade-odd effort on its part toward excellence. Since its inception, UPES School of Law (SOL) has made its presence felt due to the manifold achievements to its credit, e.g. performance of its students vis-à-vis moot court, publication, event participation, to name few among them. SOL has had LL.B. programme in combination of commerce, management, natural science, social science, and engineering as well; with specialization in cyber laws, intellectual property, corporate laws, media and entertainment laws, energy law, etc. There are programmes of higher education, e.g. LL.M. and Ph.D. where next-generation stakeholders of legal academics are groomed to succeed the present generation. There are veteran academicians to grace Faculty of Law who groom researchers and students alike.

School of Health Sciences (SoHS)

School of Health Sciences is the new addition to UPES. The School is starting four new programs from academic session 2019-20 in pharmaceutical sciences, food & nutrition, and health care management. As the school grows, the contemporary and futuristic areas in field of health sciences would be added. The focus of the school is to prepare intellectuals and workforce for the science and technologies which are expected to enter the market in the coming years. The research centric interdisciplinary approach in areas of pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy practice, drug discovery, drug delivery technologies, medicinal and aromatic plants, natural products, biotechnology, traditional systems of medicine, food sciences, nutrition, nutraceuticals, technology applications in health sciences, health care, Intellectual property & health care laws is expected to create a state of art facility for a unique blend of professionals to work on health science research.

School of Design (SoD)

With the increasing focus on innovation, creativity and exemplary vision on the future of design, UPES started it’s School of Design (SoD) in 2013. A design school set in the backdrop of engineering, future technology and art SoD is unique in It's Industry focussed course structures and building entrepreneurial skills in its students and focusses on developing a culture of learning by doing. Keeping in view the increasing requirement of commercially viable and technically advanced designs today, SoD offers the following Programs at the B. Des and M. Des Level- Industrial and Product Design, Transportation and Mobility Design, Interiors and Retail Space Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Animation and VFX, Gaming.
